Following their amazing 2024 release Hobbies and Interests, Dutch homie brand Ho66y is back with a new full length. „A film based on the road we all try to take to achieve our ideal state of mind“. Featuring Jan Willem den Haan, Alec Stook, Stephan Schuuring, Justin Wagener, Jesse Voerman, Jelle Maatman, Tom van den Hoeven, Jeremy van der Eijk, Jaap Langenhoff, Teun Janssen, Wisse de Weerd, and Lars de Weerd.
Modern day wisdoms are mainly based on quick fixes and Instagram advice from people who spend the whole day filming their own faces. Inner peace has become something to brag about and self love is often prioritized above a caring community. What role does skateboarding play in our spiritual development?

Skateboarding can be the ultimate form of self-sacrifice, and at the same time the most egotistical activity on this planet. Watching your friend try a trick for three hours while everyone is burning in the sun or shivering in the cold is a great example of sacrifice for the greater good: the homie video. No one gets paid, we will never make the big leagues, and our parents-in-law frown upon us. It is nothing more than a group of people sharing a hobby, friendship and an irrational willingness to push themselves and each other to a visual end result of 20 minutes.

As for the 20 minutes you’re about to watch here, the universe had aligned and got Derek Zomer, Jesse Voerman and Ziggy Schaap to join forces behind the lens. Most was filmed in The Hague and Utrecht, with some clips from Lisbon, Luxembourg and several German towns sprinkled in. We hope you like the video and find some (more) motivation to go out and skate with your friends. Don’t be online too much, it’s mainly a fake world on them screens!
