With the online publication of Backside Skate Mag, Michele Addelio seeks to explore skateboarding culture outside of the mainstream. We even had the pleasure to be featured in issue 18 of the mag, back in 2023. Michele flipped the script and interviewed us along with many other European media people. Fast forward two years and Michele has put out eleven (!) more issues as well as a book. No clue how he does it, but this man obviously puts a whole lot of time and energy into this passion project of his. Mad respect! His first ever book focusses on the commonalities and reciprocities of skateboarding and art, showcases artists from all around the world and delivers 256 pages of inspiration. The author will donate all revenues from this book to Make Life Skate Life (a non-profit organization that builds skateparks around the world).
