In celebration of the 10th anniversary of São Paulo’s Cave Crew*, some 20+ skaters embarked on a tour to the most remote places and gnarliest transitions that Brazil has to offer. They even spent three days cleaning the legendary Classe D pool and eventually got to session it. So, here’s 20+ minutes of heavy Brazilian skateboarding, far-off from them perfect ledge plazas. Filmed by Jeey Pi, Matheus Matsumoto and Gusthavo Santos; edited by Jeey Pi.
*Cave Crew started some ten years ago with Jeey Pi, Matheus Matsumoto, Luiz Francisco, Mateus Hiroshi, Hugo Montezuma and Leandro Miranda. They’ve always been passionate about backyard pools, so Leandro built one in São Paulo, and named it Cave Pool. Over the years, it became more and more difficult to maintain their little concrete paradise. So, them boys started to organise some parties in order to raise money and eventually, they founded their on association. Nowadays, the Cave Crew / Cave Pool Collective regularly holds pool contests, runs skate projects for disadvantaged communities, offers an open art space for all kinds of creatives, produces videos (such as „Dirty“) and so much more. Talk about DIY?!
