It’s been 22 years, since the world got introduced to the concept of the Mega Ramp… and it just doesn’t get old. Granted, watching Mega Ramp footage may not be everyone’s cup of tea (unless we’re talking after black bangers for retirement parts in Stay Gold); and unless your name’s Tom Schaar, there may not even be any real NBDs left to do, because well… Bob. But nothing beats the experience of witnessing a Mega Ramp session first hand – even if it’s a Mini Mega. Put one up in the middle of Stuttgart, get some people there who can actually skate it (the term Mini Mega may have been a bit deceiving, cause this thing was actually pretty big) and everyone will be in for one of the greatest shows of their lives … And this is exactly what Monster did during this year’s SKTWK.

“Flying to Germany for SKTWK, I had no clue what to expect. But honestly, I couldn’t be any happier with the times we’ve had, whether it was skating the Monster Mini Mega, watching Aurélien [Giraud] do the gnarliest tré flip ever or witnessing Jhanka [Gonzalez]  and Marcelo [Batista]  handle that 15 stair-rail like it was nothing. It was just good times all around with all the video premieres and the parties. Definitely wanna come back.” Kieran Woolley

“Everyone brought the good vibes to SKTWK. The Monster downhill session was so gnarly. There was a dude doing a manual all the way to the bump and he fell straight into the middle. I don’t know what he was thinking, but it was pretty funny. Hope he’s alright. Then, there was this other dude [Robin Wulf <3] at one of the next day’s events… He tried to ollie the water gap and he had a beer with him. He got fucking smoked. Hope he’s alright, too!” Dlamini Dlamini

“I definitely had some good times at the Shinner challenge. I was just skating around and all the boys were chilling on the grass, pretty hungover. I mean, I was hungover as well, but I managed to skate and get some lines (laughs). Watching the Monster Mini Mega session was pretty good, too. That tré flip was insane, Jhanka’s 180 switch crooks was gnarly, Raphae [Ueda]  just flying one crossbone after another and Kieran… I mean, that was insane to watch!“ Jorge Simoes

“It was my very first time at SKTWK. It was very well organized, and I really liked it. Lots of little events every day, lots of premieres, lots of homies, lots of things to do. There were so many people at the Monster Mini Mega session. The full street was closed, and it was just one of my favorite moments from the last couple of days. Then there was, of course, the session of Jhanka and Marcelo at the 15-stair rail. That was impressive to see.” Marek Zaprazny
