BLAST FROM
THE PAST

Following the release of Jakob’s latest part, we’re stoked to present a little Blast from the Past with the ledge-technician from Munich, Germany. Wanna find out where he takes his inspiration from or simply wanna revisit some gems from the late 00s as well as a timeless Wade part? Here’s your chance…

Cody McEntire, Digital’s Smoke and Mirrors, 2008.

Back in 2008, I moved to Munich. I was pretty young at the time and a friend of mine showed me this Cody McEntire part. I primarily skated transition back then, so the absolutely insane opening section to Cody’s part directly caught my attention – and it still does! Great editing, filming, song selection and style… to me, the whole part’s a timeless masterpiece! We used to watch it so many times to get us hyped for skating and I’ve definitely tried to copy some transition tricks.

Wes Kremer, DC’s Skateboarding is Forever, 2009.

Wes Kremer skates with the loosest and easiest style out there, making the roughest spots and tricks look super easy. Absolutely inspiring!

Wade Desarmo, Primitive’s Define, 2022.

Through a friend of mine, I became a big fan of Pop Smoke, and I’ve been listening to his albums over and over. Watching Wade Desarmo’s technical skating combined with Pop Smoke’s “ Got It on Me “ gives me goosebumps to this day.
