Back in the hotter months of this year, Skatedeluxe got their new wave of rippers out on a tour to the city of Innsbruck – as usual, accompanied by Dan Schulz and Dennis Scholz behind them lenses. Down below you’ll find the tour clip (filmed and edited by Dan), some Q&As as well as some stills (shot by Dennis). Keep your eyes peeled, that new wave’s swell!

Lea Meny 

Age, hometown, years of skating?

I am 26 years old. I was born in San Francisco and grew up in a bunch of countries inbetween Europe and the US. My parents are German, and I am currently based in Berlin. I’ve been skating for 7 years now. 

Innsbruck impressions?

Trip was goofy and sweet. The alps surrounding the city always takes my breath away.

If you could add one of your teammates’ tricks to your bag, which one would it be?

Gully’s flow or Jasmin’s varial heels.

Out of all the Skatedeluxe tour videos, which one’s your favourite?

I loved the Budapest one, because my grandma is from there, and I love the spots they skated.

What’s next?

Just finished my degree and got a scholarship for working on my film projects. So, finally way more time for my art and skating everywhere in Europe!

I’m 19 years old, from Munich, and I’ve been skating for five years.

Innsbruck impressions?

I’ve only been there for one day, but it’s such a beautiful place with so many lovely people!

If you could add one of your teammates’ tricks to your bag, which one would it be?

Melli’s super clean varial flip for sure.

Probably the Innsbruck one now, because it’s the first Skatedeluxe video I’m in!

What’s next?

Just keep skating, filming and traveling as much as possible.

I really liked the city and all these passionate people over there. It’s very small, but I come from a small town, so I know what it’s like when you know almost everyone, haha.

What’s next? 

I’m working on a part,  but I have some issues with my knee at the moment. I really hope that I can still put the part out by the end of the year, though.

20. Dresden. Been skating since nine years, now.

Everybody looks like they’re on vacation. I didn’t meet a single person who seemed to be stressed about anything.
